Access to Employee's Salary
Dear HR professionals,
Does your accounting department has access to employee's detailed salary information due to cost allocation reasons?

Not for detailed info. We have always given consolidated figures to the accounting team and have never had any issues (Oil Trading industry).
Our Finance Dept does not have access to details of employee salary. Only each dept total salary is given to them for costing purpose.
Our accounts department only has monthly payroll report based on “Departments” (e.g total sales, total admin) for their monthly costing allocation purposes.
