Administering Yearly Increment
QUESTION
Dear HR Practitioners,
How is Salary Increment administered in most companies? Do all employees have their yearly increment administered at the beginning of the year or on their anniversary year, ie, if join in Jun 2018, then increment in Jun 2019. If the latter, that means HR has to keep a tedious records of all staff, isn't it? If not, can advise how is it usually done, assuming every staff will have an annual salary increment.
Thank you.
Jenny

Our company increment is fixed on mid of the year for everyone. If the staff joins in September for example, he or she has to wait till the next year.

Our company fixed the annual increment at the end of Jan for all after the financial year ended. Those without a complete year of service need to wait for the subsequent year for annual increment.
