Hi HR Practitioners

May I check if anyone of you has already received the approval for the application for exemption from the suspension of business? If yes, when you applied? How long does it take to approve for your case?

My company successfully got the approval for exemption from suspension of business. I applied in the afternoon of 5th April and got the approval on late night of 6th April.

However, they mentioned in the acknowledgement that the approval might take 2 to 3 working days.

For time limit exemption, it is much more faster, almost within 24 hours.

Same as ML’s reply. We received the approval in 24 hours. Then followed by an email from BCA for the “Application for Essential Business to BCA” and we were given 24 hours only to submit. This is to submit no. of workforce and particulars of our vendor/suppliers. Just heads-up, the form will ask for vendors/suppliers company name and UEN.

Applied on 5 April. It takes 48hrs to approve.

My company applied on the 3^rd and received a clearance this morning 11^th April with exemption and conditions to observe.

Yes Time Limit Exemptions are faster and turned around within 24hrs.

I applied on last Friday 10/4/2020 at 9 pm plus and received approval on Sunday night 7pm etc.

We submitted 2 applications on 4 April, received approval for one yesterday.

It came back in two weeks time. I guess they had to validate the company first and perhaps the overwhelming applications that came through was beyond expectations.

To date, we have not received any approval by email. However, you can check the status of applications at the this website: covid.gobuisness.gov.sg
