QUESTION

Hi all,

Staff tendered on 1st Feb serving 1 month notice, last day of service 29 Feb. Leave earned 2016 2.5 days, wishes to apply 1 day on 29 Feb.

Should the Company pay him till 26 Feb & leave encashment 2.5 days or 29 Feb & 1.5 days?

Salary paid till end Feb and encashment of leave 1.5 days.

Mutual agreement to set last day of service would be best to decide if last day is 26 or 29/02.

Staff decides if he wants encashment or early release.
