Company Policy on Phone Calls for Service Personnel on Overseas Assignment

Dear all,

I would like to ask what are various companies’ policy on making calls to families, whilst on overseas assignment?

Our company will not bear the cost for personal calls made to family, we will charge to employee’s account.

Though its official business trip, but my company don’t reimburse for personal phone call.

Nowadays there is Viber/Skype etc through which calls can be made without cost else one
call every 2 days is paid for
