Condolence Policy
QUESTION
Dear HR Practitioners,
Please share your company practices when a colleague's family member dies. We are providing 2 days paid compassionate leave upon the death of parents, spouse, siblings, children, grandparents & parents-in-law. Aside from the paid leave, we would want to find some other ways to show the company's support to the colleague. I know that some companies give money or send condolence wreath. Are there any other practices aside from these?
Thank you.

Our company gives 5 days for own parents and siblings etc and 3 days for grandparents. On top of that we still give out 500 dollars and 300 dollars respectively.

Our company practise is 3 days of compassion leave regardless who passed away. We did away with the condolence wreath. Instead we give condolence money and card which are sign by colleagues.
