Deduction of Pay Due To MRT breakdown
May I know if your company deduct employee’s pay for lateness due to MRT breakdowns?

We do not have such practice.
For our practice, as long as employee can produce the excuse chit issued by SMRT, we will not deduct their salary.
No deduction will be done and we pay full day.
No. Is not staff fault and something quite unavoidable.
No, because it’s out of control of employee.
We do not deduct lateness if the breakdown was announced on the media or any online platform (Stomp, Facebook, etc), as long as the employee can proof it.
HR dept will take note of the report (date, time & location of breakdown).
No Deduction, We do not have hourly paid contract worker.
In the case of company bus breakdowns, as well, which is beyond employees’ control and therefore, employees should not be penalized.
