Employee Marriage Gift
Dear HR Professionals,
If there is a staff getting married, do companies usually give either in kind or monies to the said staff?
Depends on what your company has as staff welfare benefits. Monies will be more practical.
We do not provide a marriage gift. Our Company extends to confirmed employee marriage leave of five consecutive working days on the occasion of employee’s first legal marriage.
We will provide 3 days paid marriage leave and $100 cash as a congratulation gift.
Our company does not have such practices.
We usually pay him/her both "Marriage Leave" and "Money" as well. Marriage Leave is also paid leave. But money is limited in accordance with the benefits package of job level.
My company usually gives shopping vouchers at $180.
We give 3 days marriage leave, that's all.
Our company provides 5 days of marriage leave and SGD200 marriage allowance.
Sometimes we offer jewelry, at times we congratulate with an ang pow.
