The HR Community at HRSINGAPORE is the first, free, online HR Community for HR practitioners in Singapore and the region, since 1998.

Am I a Community Subscriber?
Community Subscribers receive our regular HR content and updates by email. If you're not receiving these emails, you may not yet be registered — you can join for free at HR Community.

What are the benefits of joining the HR Community?
Membership is free and gives you access to HRAI for your HR queries, our HR Community Archives, ongoing polls and discussions on current HR topics, and discounts on our Training programmes.

How do I get my HR questions answered?
Community Subscribers should direct their HR queries to HRAI, available anytime. You can also search the HR Community Archives to see how similar questions have been addressed before.

How do I take part in the Community?
Subscribers can vote and comment on our regular polls covering current HR topics and challenges — this is the main way to engage with fellow HR practitioners in the community.

Are all articles in the Archives freely accessible?
New articles are shared with Community Subscribers first and marked "Protected" for a short period before joining the general Archives. Subscribers can read these at no extra cost. Non-subscribers who'd like early access to a protected article can do so for a one-time fee of SGD 49. See our Copyright & Trademark Statement for terms on reproducing this content.

Will my personal data be shown when I engage with the Community?
Your registration details are kept confidential in line with our Privacy & PDPA Policy. Your comments and poll responses do not display your company details.

Training

Do you have evening or part-time courses?
No. Our courses are conducted from 9 am to 5 pm on weekdays and Saturdays.

What types of HR courses does HRSINGAPORE offer?
We offer a wide range of HR-related courses, including employment law, compensation and benefits, talent acquisition, HR analytics and more, designed for HR professionals at all career levels.

Do HRSINGAPORE courses count toward IHRP CPD Hours?
Yes. Every HRSINGAPORE certification programme carries IHRP CPD Hours, so the same course that builds your practical HR expertise also counts toward applying for and re-certifying your IHRP Certification.

How can I find information about your training programmes?

When will I receive the Course Confirmation after registering?
You'll receive an acknowledgment email confirming your registration. Once the course is finalised, a confirmation email with the schedule and venue will follow.

How many times are courses and workshops held each year?
This varies by programme. Join our mailing list to be updated on upcoming courses and workshops.

How do I register myself or my colleagues for a training programme?
Register online using our Registration Form, or send us a message via our Contact Form if you're unsure which course fits.

How many participants are there in your training programmes?
We keep class sizes limited across all our courses for a better learning experience.

Can foreigners register for the course?
Yes, we welcome participants from overseas sponsored by their organisations. If a foreign participant isn't sponsored by an organisation, they'll need the General Manager's approval beforehand.

Do you provide jobs or placements for foreign or overseas participants?
No. HRSINGAPORE is not a recruitment agency. We specialise in HR certification courses, HRLAW Seminars and HR Workshops.

Do you provide invitation letters or visas for overseas participants?
No. Overseas participants should approach the Singapore Embassy or High Commission for any visa requirements.

Do you assist with accommodation for overseas participants?
No, overseas participants are responsible for arranging their own accommodation.

Can I attend HRSINGAPORE courses if I'm not an HR professional?
While our courses are tailored to HR practitioners, anyone interested in HR practices or workplace dynamics is welcome to join.

If I have no background in HR, which course should I attend?
Consider our Certified Human Resource Administrator (CHRA)® course — an entry-level programme covering current employment law and core HR functions.

Will there be make-up classes if I miss a module for the Certified courses?
Yes, you can attend the missed module(s) at the next confirmed intake. All modules must be completed within two years to remain eligible for the Certificate of Competency.

Where do you conduct your training programmes?
In hotel seminar rooms in central Singapore. Full details are included in your confirmation email.

Will I get a hard copy invoice?
A hard copy invoice is usually sent with your confirmation. E-invoices are available on request.

When is the registration closing date for courses?
About 10 days before the course start date.

Will I receive a Certificate of Attendance?
Yes, a Certificate of Attendance is issued at the end of every course. If you complete an HR Certification course successfully, you'll receive a Certificate of Competency instead.

Is there a prerequisite for your Certified Courses?
Refer to the "Who Should Attend" or "Entry Requirement" section under "Course Details" on each course page.

Are there examinations for your Certified Courses?
There's no written exam, but competency-based assessments are administered at every module. All modules and assessments must be completed to receive the Certificate of Competency.

Is your Certificate of Competency recognised?
Recognition depends on individual employers. We've run HR Certification courses for over a decade, with Government Ministries, Statutory Boards, MNCs and SMEs sponsoring staff for these programmes. See the "Past Participants" section on our course pages for examples.

Is halal or vegetarian food available during training?
Yes — indicate your preference when registering, or let us know at the registration counter on the day.

Are complimentary car park coupons available?
Yes, on a first-come, first-served basis. Public transport is recommended, as our venues are centrally located and easily accessible.

Is there a nursing room available?
This can be arranged with 3 days' notice, subject to the hotel's availability.

Can I get your training calendar?
Our quarterly calendar is at hrsingapore.org/training. For a specific programme, email query@hrsingapore.org.

I can't access your website. Can I get a PDF of the course and administrative details?
Yes, email query@hrsingapore.org to request a PDF copy.

Will training be conducted online or in person?
All our training is conducted in person.

Payment

Do you offer an instalment payment plan for HR Certification Courses?
Yes. Instalment payment is available for self-sponsored participants resident in Singapore, over 3 to 4 instalments, subject to approval by the General Manager.

What kind of assessments do participants in certification courses undertake?
Participants complete competency-based assessments throughout each module, including MCQs, written exercises, discussions, presentations, case studies and role plays.

Are your certification courses free?
No, our courses are not free. Please see HR Certification for details.

Are you a free HR advisory?
We are not a free HR advisory service. If you have a general HR question, please direct it to your HR department or the relevant authority. HR practitioners with a question related to HR practices in Singapore can check our HR Community Archives or ask HRAI.

Can participants use MySkillsFuture credits to pay for the course?
No, MySkillsFuture credits are not applicable to our courses.

Does the course fee include GST?
Our course fees indicate the GST amount. Please refer to the Administrative Details on each course page for clarification.

What are the available modes of payment?
Payments can be made by bank transfer, credit card, PayNow, IBG or Telegraphic Transfer. Please indicate your preferred mode when submitting your registration form.

When do I need to make payment for the programme?
Once your registration is confirmed, we'll send an electronic invoice. Hard copy invoices are available on request. Payment must reach us before the programme commences.

Can payment be made on the day of the course?
Yes, cash payments can be handed to our representative at the reception table on arrival.

Can I get a refund if I'm unable to attend after making payment?
We issue credit vouchers in place of refunds. Vouchers are valid for 1 year and can be used toward a course of similar or higher value.
