Vietnam is a rapidly developing country located in Southeast Asia. Over the past few decades, it has experienced significant economic growth, transforming from a centrally planned economy to a market-oriented one. Vietnam's economy has experienced robust growth over the years. In recent years, it has consistently been one of the fastest-growing economies in the region, with an average annual GDP growth rate of around 6-7%.

As of 2021, Vietnam has an estimated population of over 98 million people, making it the 15th most populous country in the world. Vietnam has a relatively young population, with a median age of around 31 years. The working-age population (15-64 years) comprises the largest proportion of the population, reflecting the country's potential for economic growth and development.

Vietnam, with its rapid growth, is continuing to streamline, update and strengthen its labour laws and regulations.  Therefore, it is important and useful for you to attend this course as it provides you an insight into Vietnam Labor Code 2019 which was implemented and updated with effect from 1 January 2021.

Elsie Low is a HR Practitioner with over 25 years of experience. She has specific experience and strength in talent acquisition, human resource development, compensation and benefits development, payroll administration and management, talent management, employee communication and relations. She is a visionary and performance focused professional. Coupled with that, she has excellent business acumen with strong work ethics.

Elsie has worked in various multi-national and local SMEs and in different sectors such as manufacturing, electronics, construction, engineering and oil & gas. Her span of responsibility and experience are spent in various regional and leadership roles across different regions in ASEAN, Australia, China and Middle East.

Elsie graduated with a Bachelor Degree in Human Resource and a MBA in Finance. She also possesses the Certificate in Workplace Basics from Fairwork Commission Australia and an Advanced Certificate of Training and Assessment (ACTA).

She is currently one of the trainers for HRSINGAPORE's HR Certification Courses.

Kim-Anh Le is currently the Managing Director of a Vietnamese HR Consulting firm, specialized in people management consulting, coaching and counselling for foreign and local companies based in Vietnam.

She has more than 23 years of working experience, 15 years in middle to senior management, and exposed in production (6 years), sales (5 years), and 10 years as HR Heads of Aventis/ sanofi-aventis (top leading of pharmaceutical industry) and Avon (leading cosmetic & direct selling company).

Kim-Anh possess the experience in both strategic & implementation of Human Resources Management in multi-national companies, especially in Organization Restructure (for productivity improvement, sales effectiveness, merger, acquisition, global de-layering), developing Performance Management System, Company Culture (live up corporate values, safety culture), Remuneration Restructure (establishing salary range, design bonus & sales incentive scheme, benefit policies), Talent Management and Career Planning & Development (for sales reps and for high-potential employees).

She has delivered training in HR & People Management, Sales and other soft skills for local/ foreign companies, and other social/NGO organisms. Some of the corporations she has worked with are: PEB Steel, Chartis (ex-AIG), GSK, Imexpharm, Intel, Lafarge, Mast, Novartis, Pfizer, Long Hau Corporation.

Kim-Anh also possess good experiences in coaching and counselling young Business Leaders, HR Practitioners and HR Managers in coping with change, in strategic HR management and developing business objectives. As a respected local HR Practitioner, she has been invited as guest speaker at several local and regional HR conferences/ seminars.

Kim-Anh holds a Master of HR Management (USA) and Bachelor of Science (Pharmacist) from Vietnam.
