Meal and Shift Allowances
Dear HR Professionals,
We pay employees for the meal allowance whenever they performed overtime work and shift allowances for working on the scheduled night duties. How do we differentiate whether they are ordinary wages or additional wages?
Maggie, are you able to share what's your shift allowance amount is? And do you have on call or stand by allowance?
Most allowances are Ordinary Wages if they do not exceed one month. Additional Wages is for payments that stretch for more than a month, such as bonus.
