No pay leave in May
QUESTION
Dear HR Community,
We have an employee who is on no-pay leave for the whole month of May.
The month of May 2020 is from the 1st to the 31st. And the employee works a five and a half (5.5) day week.
Hence no-pay leave is 6 days per week since Saturday is considered a full working day.
So, is the number of days of no pay leave 23 days or 23.5 days?
Please advise. Thank you.
Best regards,
Adeline
REPLIES & COMMENTS
Hi Adeline,
it should be 23.5 days of NPL. Correct me if I am wrong.
Desire
If its unpaid leave for the whole month, you can put aside the number of working days.
Florence
May 2020 has a total of 23.5 workdays based on 5.5 day work week.
Regards,
Linda
