From this year, fathers who work in the private sector in Hong Kong are entitled to 3 days of paid paternity leave which can be taken consecutively or separately anytime from four weeks before the delivery to 10 weeks after. This is for all daddies who are working full-time or have a “continuous” contract as long as they give a minimum of 5 days notice and show the birth certificate.
