PIP Success Letter

Do companies in Singapore give employees a letter who have passed their Performance Improvement Plan(PIP)? Please show me a sample of such a letter.

Certainly, a letter acknowledging an employee’s successful completion of a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP) typically expresses appreciation and encouragement for their efforts. Here’s a sample draft:

Dear [Employee],

I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to inform you that your performance improvement plan (PIP) has been successfully completed and that you have met the required performance standards.

Throughout the duration of the PIP, you demonstrated great commitment, determination, and effort to improve your performance. Your hard work and dedication have paid off, and we are pleased to acknowledge your progress.

Your improved performance has not only positively impacted your own work but also contributed to the overall success of the team and the organization. We recognise your efforts in identifying areas for improvement, working on them diligently, and consistently meeting the set targets.

We would like to commend you for your resilience and willingness to learn and grow. Your success in completing the PIP is a testament to your determination and professionalism.

Moving forward, we encourage you to continue maintaining this level of performance and to keep striving for excellence. We believe in your potential and are confident that you will achieve even greater success in your role.

Should you require any further support or assistance in your professional development, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We are here to help and support you in any way we can.

Once again, congratulations on successfully completing the performance improvement plan. Your hard work and dedication are truly appreciated.

Best regards,

PIP is issued only for underperforming employees. – Rimah

The PIP form should include the deadlines for the expected improvement and the next PIP meeting with the incumbent to explain the outcome and recommendations.  A summary, or verbatim, of the discussion and the panel present in the final meeting is to be recorded in the PIP form to conclude the plan. The form itself can be filed off in the HRMS or incumbent’s P-file for documentation.  Suffice for the incumbent to be informed verbally of the outcome, if the PIP is a success, and for them to note the consequences of repeated poor performance. – Azirah
