Rejecting Performance Review
Question
Dear HR Professionals,
What do you do if an employee refuses to sign on the completed performance appraisal form? What will be the outcome?

We cannot force the staff to acknowledge the appraisal. Just engage the staff on the areas of disagreement and document the discussion/ sharing.

We can indicate on the PA form that employee refused to sign, the reason for the dispute and file it on record. At the performance review session, the employee must be made aware of what are the performance standards expected and how to improve upon them going forward. If the issue is because of unfair practices investigation would need to be done.
