Safe Management Measures (SMM) Update
Dear HR Professionals,
With effect from September 8, 2021, the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has changed the Safe Management Measures (SMM) at the workplace.
- There are no social events e.g., office parties permitted
- Employees are now required to have their breaks for lunch etc on their own.
- All staff must work from home (WFH) for 14 days if anyone tests positive for Covid-19 during the last seven days.
- During the WFH they have to self-test every 2-3 days.
HR departments will need to review and update their WFH policy and handbooks as a consequence of these changes.
