Stand-By Allowance Amount
Dear HR Practitioners,
I would like to understand how much stand-by allowance other companies are giving to employees who need to be on weekend standby. Do you pay an additional allowance if employees are being activated for a case?
We do not give standby allowance. We replace 0.5 days (work 4 - 8 hours) or 1 day (work > 8 hours) leave if needed to work on a weekend. These leave can be paid as payment-in-lieu if not able to clear by year-end.
The above is applicable to site supervisors only. (not office base staffs)
