Transport Claims Policy - Mileage
QUESTION
Dear All,
I would be very appreciative if my fellow, well-informed HR practitioners could shed light on:
(a) Their per mileage transport policy (For both cars and motorcycles travelling within Singapore).
(b) How to go about computing the $/km reimbursement that is fair and reasonable, considering the prevailing fuel and vehicle prices (i.e., the methods and assumptions considered when deriving that amount.)
In my case, which is a Manufacturing Company, we pay $0.55/km for cars, and $0.30/km for motorcycles
More importantly;
I hope to learn from all of you. Thank you!

The government has a mileage payment system for cars & motorcycles. I recommend that you follow this as the amounts would have been updated taking into account inflation and other economic conditions. It is an equitable system applicable across the board.

I would like to have the link to the government website on the mileage payment system in Singapore. Please advise.
